Custom job and service notifications

You can create resource notification rules to send alerts to custom channels, such as Slack or email, based on specific job and service statuses. This feature is available only to admin users.

By default, resource owners receive notifications for all events through email. This document is for admins who want to configure additional notification channels, such as Slack or custom webhooks, or extend email notifications to additional recipients.

Create a resource notification

As an admin user, you can create a resource notification by navigating to Organization Settings > Resource Notifications > Create.

Create resource notification

Set the resource scope

You can configure resource notifications to apply at different organizational levels. Set the notification scope by targeting specific clusters in clouds, projects, users, or all resources.

Scope resource notification

Set the resource event

Resource events define the conditions for triggering a notification, such as when a job fails or succeeds, or when a service becomes unhealthy or has completed rolling out.

Manage resource notification

  • Edit: Admins can modify all fields of an existing resource notification, except for the cloud. To change the cloud, you must create a new resource notification and delete the existing one.
  • Delete: Admins can permanently remove a resource notification.
